Project Interface Manager

EOLFI is a company specializing in the renewable energy sector for floating offshore wind, onshore wind and photovoltaics, developing its own ENR solutions, on behalf of third-party investors or in partnership with local authorities. EOLFI is an operator with a global offer and manages projects in France and abroad. Since December 2019, EOLFI has joined the Shell Group.

Job description

This position is part of the Technical Services team that supports the floating offshore wind developments worldwide (and especially the ongoing developments and tenders in Europe, USA, Asia) and covers following duties:

• Define, track, and manage the workstream responsibility interfaces for the FOW projects worldwide under identify, assess, select, define and execute steps.
• Support design of the FOW farms, taking care of interfaces and battery limits between packages (WTG, floater, cables…) and concerned contractors, also including project stakeholders as environment and permitting, TSO, harbors, supply chain (with C&P), Certification Body, O&M… ; this for conceptual design, competitive FEED, basic design, detail design and design for construction.
• Participate in the establishment and drafting of expression of needs via “Employer’s Requirements”, functional specifications, “Scope of Works”…) in coordination with the project team.
• Liaise with each workstream and with discipline / department management.
• Track and close out identified interface issues. Establish the project Interface Matrix and ensure continuous follow up and monitoring of interfaces as per project progress.
• Manage the schedule associated to interfaces for her/his missions and projects
• Participate in technical investigations, incident investigations / Causal Reasoning workshops as required / appointed;
• Liaise with document manager and ensure proper recordkeeping of all interface activities.
• Execute project archiving and handover to the next project phase / Operations.
• Ensure and formalize feedback and closure of project documentation for her/his scope.

Profil

Skills

• Recommended 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience within offshore wind energy (or offshore O&G)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Science required. Master’s Degree or other advanced degree (JD) desired
• PMP Certification strongly preferred

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of MS Project application, Visio, MS Access, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
• Extensive experience with engineering, project and interface management, budgets/scheduling, risk evaluation is a plus
• Technical knowledge of main packages as turbine, floater, cables, manufacturing and construction, offshore transport and installation, commissioning, O&M
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people from all types of fields of expertise
• Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication skills required; ability to effectively communicate with everyone from Contractors to Project Team
• Outstanding presentation skills
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural context
• High energy, self-motivated, client focused individual
• Proactive approach to work, possess a high degree of autonomy and initiatives
• Creative and innovative
• French speaking would be a plus

In addition to the technical and project management skills described above, the successful candidate will need to be a strong team player with effective communication and relationship skills.

The role is based in Paris, France or alternatively in Den Haag or London. It could include business travel to different locations worldwide and potentially offshore works.
