Job description
This position is part of the Technical Services team that supports floating offshore wind developments worldwide and covers following duties:
- Manage and track Coupled Load
Calculations and manage input and output data and interfaces related to these
topics for all projects
- Review, comment on and manage project
technical documentation; ensure calculation aspect is well integrated into the
project process (especially schedule)
- Duties on projects:
- Manage contractors on activities related to its discipline, ensure coordination and follow up
- Review the deliverables, follow up comments and closure of deliverables related to its discipline
- Ensure that Contractor Deliverables related to its discipline are issued in time and with the appropriate content and quality
- Ensure that Contractor Deliverables are compliant with Contract requirements and associated Scope of Work
- Perform independent analysis (especially on Deeplines Wind), when needed, to challenge contractor results and/or add value in tender phases
- Redact Scope of Work for Studies or RFI, and assist in the selection of tenderers (Clarifications, Technical Bid Evaluations…)
- Consolidate project information related to Station Keeping and Structural Design to provide project management with information on: QHSE, planning, risks and opportunities, DEVEX/CAPEX/OPEX, interfaces; Identify drifts on these topics and propose appropriate mitigations
- Internal developments:
- Being the main point of contact for all activities linked to Deeplines Wind
- Develop internal competencies and knowledge in terms of coupled load calculations, WTG performance, Station Keeping, Structural design, Anchor design
- Design and build appropriate tools and routines to ease calculations and make quick critical choices for a certain configuration (floater, WTG, environmental conditions…)
- Perform regular market surveys to gather all developments/ technical novelties in terms of Station Keeping components and Structural and Anchor design
- Built and maintain internal databases, including lessons learnt

- Reports operationally to the Floater Package Manager and hierarchically to the Head of Naval Architecture Dept

- The position will require to interface and ability to effectively communicate with everyone from Contractors to Project Teams
Profil
Skills
- Conversant with Naval Architecture theory, including but not limited to seakeeping, station keeping, stability, weight control, safety, design principles
- Autonomous, rigorous, independent, strive to deliver

Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience (including as a minimum 3 years in Floating Wind Industry).
- Previous experience in O&G industry will be appreciated.
- In depth knowledge of coupled WTG/Floater calculations/tools (knowledge of DeeplinesWind would be a plus).
- Experience in offshore structures calculations (Structural, Hydrodynamics and station keeping) is mandatory.
- Successful experience in couple loads analysis using Industry recognized numerical tools and methodologies.
- In depth knowledge of standards and rules applicable to floating offshore wind industry (IEC, Certification Authorities, Classification Authorities…).
- Global awareness about Wind Floater Concepts available on the market and on their principal constraints in terms of behavior.
- Global awareness on the WTG available on the market and on their principal properties (mass, thrust force, design limits, TRL level) and requirements in regard to the floater (tilts, accelerations, eigen frequencies, bending moment at tower base…).
- Global awareness on Control strategies applied on WTG to reduce loads or to mitigate undesirable effect.
The role is based in France (In Paris, Nantes or Marseille office). It could include business travel to different locations.
